"But the Word of the Lord endureth for ever..."  I Peter 1:25

Dear friends in Christ,

The Lord is gracious in answering prayer!  Thank you for praying for us, especially for my sister Jessi ruth Silos Wong.  She underwent a four and one half hour surgery on June 1, 1999.  After being hospitalized a total of three months, less one day, she is recuperating at home.  Please pray that God's will may be accomplished in her life.

In May 1999 we were able to take Bibles, New Testaments, and other literature to two missionaries in Mexico.  The people's love for the Lord and the enthusiasm for his Word in the services were a great blessing..

January to May 1999 Reports

For the first five months of this year, the missionaries serving under Spanish Baptist Missions reported:

3296 Professions of faith

1781 Baptisms

2215 Services

Family News

Thank you for praying with us as Karen home-schools Mary(7), Stephen(5), and David(3).  We are trying to put a computer together and gather software for the curriculum.  Help us pray for Godly women to come into the home to help train the children and also help with the chores.  Please keep us in your prayers as we follow the Lord's will in rearing our children.

Prayer Requests

Please pray for a conference to be held in Huhi, Yucatan in November 1999.

I have pulled the transmission on the motor home and am working on it.  As soon as it is ready, we plan to begin visiting churches in order to present the ministry.

Expenses to be covered so we can deliver Bibles and literature to more missionaries.

An heir of God through Christ,

Joel Silos,

Director
