His Testimony:

For nine years I was in the prison of drugs – I am an ex-addict. But one day, my aunt spoke with me about the gospel of Christ. He transformed me. He gave me a wife and three precious children. God called me to serve Him. While attending the Biblical Institute, I saw the need that exists for workers.

Sammy Herrera

Missionary Jose Luis Herrera from Guadalajara, Jalisco with Sandra, his wife, and Sammy, his son, stayed at Joel Silo's home for a month in the fall of 2001. Sammy was born with a cleft palate and has had several surgeries, the last two by a plastic surgeon here in San Antonio. They came to the United States because he now needs a bone graft. However, on this trip it was not possible to get a hospital to waive all fees. Sammy’s name is on a charity care list and it may be two or three months before he is called. Please pray for him that God’s will may be done in his life.
