"Casting all your care upon him: for he careth for you."  I Peter 5:7

Dear friends in Christ,

Greetings in Jesus' name, which is above all names.  Karen, the children, and I are in the northeastern states visiting churches to present the ministry.  It is the first time we have traveled since our son Stevie's Homegoing and many things remind us of him.  Thank you for remembering us in prayer.

Update on the need of a vehicle for Brother Pacheco

$1,700 of the needed $3,000 have been received, and forwarded.  Bro. Pacheco ministers in two different cities, Caucel and Puerto Progreso.

Tracts, Cassettes, and Videos

In July 2000 we took into Mexico 500,000 tracts, some cassettes, and videos on the "Life of Christ".  These items are to be distributed by ten churches.  Through the efforts of Brother Frank Woodford of Central Baptist Church in Panama City, Florida and Worldwide Tract Ministry of Vestavia Hills, Alabama, we have received an additional 245,000 tracts.  These will be taken to churches in another area during November and December 1999, the Lord willing.

From the Missionaries' Letters:

Blessings

Alfonso Calderon, Matamoros, Tamaulipas

During the Fundamental Conference held in July 2000, there were 1069 professions of faith and 261 baptisms.  The weekly Sunday School attendance is over one thousand.

Francisco Pat Coba, Telchaquillo, Yucatan

During July of 2000,  five persons accepted Christ and two new converts were baptized.  In August 2000, during three days of bible classes, 11 children out of 156 attendees were saved.

Ismael Flores, San Francisco del Rincon, Guanajuato

The house that was rented to live in has a back area where the services are held.  A goodly number of the church members go out on Thursdays and Saturdays and purpose to win souls for Christ.

Juan Garcia, Tanquian Escobedo, San Luis Potosi

God's great love for lost souls has been shown with a revival in the church and with new converts.

Asuncion Lopez, El Penon, Guanajuato

A family who had turned away from the Lord has returned to the services.  Planning is underway for the third anniversary of the work with a Family conference.

Sergio Navarro, Coxcatlan, San Luis Potosi

He has begun services in yet another mountain village, La Loma, a municipality of Tancahuitz de Santos.  They visited house-to-house and two persons accepted Christ as Saviour.  Also, fifteen children attended a Bible study.

Felipe Nery Canche Dzul, Valladolid, Yucatan

He rejoices in souls being saved.  The members continue testifying to the lost.

Rodolfo Pacheco, Caucel and Progreso, Yucatan

During June, 2000, several persons came to Christ and five new converts were baptized.  The church is very motivated in being able to participate in the Lord's work.  In July 2000, Brother Pacheco preached an evangelistic campaign for three nights in the church at Telchaquillo with Brother Francisco Coba.  During the afternoons, the church members would evangelize in town.

Felipe Urquieta, Leon, Guanajuato

He and his wife praise God for the safe delivery of their baby boy.

Javier Valadez, Guadalajara, Jalisco

He praises God for the souls that were saved this summer.  In one instance, the Lord led them to a woman who held services in her house.  Although she knew very little of the Bible, she taught what she read.  When the plan of salvation was presented to her, she accepted Jesus as her Saviour.  She then declared that that was what had been missing in her life and began sharing this message with all whom she met.  This resulted in seven persons and three families attending church.  Praise be to God for saving Sister Piedad (whose name translates "mercy")!
