"But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.

 Matthew 6:33

Dear Friends in Christ,

Karen and I praise God for your prayers and support that make this ministry possible.  We thank the Lord for the ones who responded to make it possible for us to take David to a Christian camp for special-needs children and their families.

In the process of taking him to camp, we are visiting some long-time supporting churches.  We are also presenting the ministry for the first time in churches that are interested in the ministry and possibly supporting it.

Testimony from Pastor Isidro Ontiveros Iglesia Bautista Betel, Leon, Guanajuato

Blessings! Blessings!

There is much opposition when we serve the Lord, but let us sing "Showers of Blessings".  Remember that in order to have showers, there must be clouds (problems) and the darker the clouds, the greater the blessings when God, the sun, shines through.

Camp 2005 was held during Holy Week.  More than 400 young people, 300 adults and approximately 200 children were in attendance.  Everything that was planned had only one purpose: to seek God's face, the One who manifests himself in a marvelous way, saving souls and transforming lives and calling them into the ministry.  These attendees then returned to edify their churches and those who were called will enter different Bible institutes, and some will study in our institute.

Here is one of the hundreds of miracles: Twenty years ago, my wife and I came to Leon Guanajuato, one of the five largest cities in the country.  In that time, fifteen churches have been established here.  However, my heart was burdened because the first convert was living as an unbeliever, playing with a band, living in adultery and involved in other sinful practices.

He attended camp, God worked in his heart, he repented, straightened his life, and asked God to give him an opportunity to live for Him.  Now he is the first to arrive at church, he gives testimony that all things are possible telling about the consequences of sin and he invites those who hear to live a sanctified life for the Lord.  This week he has given me notice that he is going to prepare himself in our church's institute.

Prayer Requests

Some groups of men from North Carolina are planning building projects in Mexico.

Pastor's Conference the second week of January, 2006 in Yucatan.

Testimony from Pastor Francisco Pat Coba Iglesia Bautista "Monte Horeb", Telchaquillo, Yucatan

(Pastor Coba wrote in acknowledgment of the $500.00 he received for his house).

I am very grateful to God for his blessings on my family and myself and also for your prayers in our behalf.  Next week I will put a roof on our two room house and take care of a few needed details.  But we are very happy because God has supplied so greatly.  My wife says that it does not matter to her if there are no finished doors or windows; she will put up some curtains in order to move in right away.  I tell her to be patient and trust in the Lord who supplies our needs.  I know He will supply what is needed to finish the house.

Please pray for the children in Sunday School and for the young people.  Pray for the teachers, that they will set the right example before the students.  Pray for me, that God will strengthen me to continue in spite of persecution.  We know this happens because even Christ, being God, suffered persecution.  My desire and hope is to finish the course along with my wife and children and the church.  The Lord bless you richly, brethren!

Testimony from Pastor Felipe Urquieta Gonzalez Colonia San Felipe De Jesus, Leon, Guanajuato

It is with immense joy I write this letter, desiring that when you receive it, you and yours are well.  My family and I praise the Lord, for we are well.  We pray for you and the supporters of Spanish Baptist Missions.

The church and I are profoundly grateful for the offerings to help put a roof on the building.  Thank you for the love you have for the work in Mexico.

I am enclosing the receipts for the materials for the roof that were paid for with the offerings.  In pesos: $24,093.67, $2,470.00, $10,666.02, and $13,136.02.  The men of the church and I are working hard.  Already half of the building has a cement floor.

We continue reaching souls for Christ and praise God for the new families attending our services.  We praise God for the man who was baptized this week.  Another man whom we met recently, received Christ as Savior as soon as we witnessed to him.  Pray for him and his family, he has advanced cancer of the intestines.

Pray for me, lately I have been losing weight rapidly.  After some analysis, the doctors have confirmed I have diabetes.

Thank you again for all you have done for me, my family, and the church.  My wife and children thank you also.
