For unto you is born this day in the
city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord.
Luke 2:11
Dear Friends in Christ,
We wish you a Merry Christmas and a
Happy New Year! May the Lord bless each of you as we celebrate the
birth of our Saviour the Lord Jesus Christ. May the New Year bring
much peace and joy to you.
The main ministry of Spanish Baptist Missions is to
enable native missionaries in Mexico to plant new churches, especially in
areas where there is not a gospel witness. This is accomplished
through Evangelistic work, Literature distribution, Youth Work, Camps,
Pastors' Conferences, and Home Bible Study, etc. At this time, we
are asking the Lord to supply the funds to accept two new applicants.

Mephibosheth Ministry - Dining at
the King's Table:
Karen and I would like to share with you, our
prayer-partners and supporters, a burden the Lord has placed on our
hearts. Having Stevie and David born as special-needs children
gained for us first-hand knowledge of the required care and expense
involved. Though Stevie went home to be with the Lord in February of
2000, we still miss him very much.
We would like for you to become partners with us in
starting a new facet of the ministry, the "Mephibosheth Ministry-
Dining at the King's Table". II Samuel tells the story of
Mephibosheth, Jonathan's son, who became lame as a child due to an
accident. It tells also about King David inviting him to dine at his
table. The ministry will focus on enabling special-needs children
and adults in Mexico, and their caretakers, to attend camp once a year,
thus "Dining at the King's Table" (God's Word). It would also be
used to encourage churches to begin ministering to these special -needs
persons who most definitely need help. Through the years we have
seen very little done for these special people.
Additional Printed Material:
We praise the Lord for 4,000 pounds of gospel tracts,
Bibles, and hymn-books that we plan to deliver to different pastors in
Mexico before Christmas. Also, we have furniture to deliver to Bro.
Juan Antonio Hernandez in Rio Bravo, Tamaulipas, whose home was flooded
during a heavy rainstorm this summer. There are also toys Karen
wants to send to some of the missionaries' children.
An Heir of God through Christ,
Joel Silos, D.D.
